I had a trial version of afterlife from some demo sampler and was obsessed with it but my catholic parents forbid me from playing once they found out about the subject matter
I had a copy of this old sim game as a kid and I remember finding it completely inscrutable, maybe even moreso that SimEarth and SimIsle

He’s only half-joking. But this really is the way to do it. Once you’ve accumulated a critical mass of people who have read the book you hand-sold to, the book starts selling itself. The number is different for every book and there are so many chance factors involved it’s impossible to predict it.
