Single widowed dad just trying to survive.
Leftist heathen living in the bible belt. No, I didn't move to Georgia for the people, or the politics, or the religion..... This house was cheap.
#FuckTrump
He spent his first term stacking the SCOTUS, successfully. That should have been warning enough. When he faced zero consequences for Jan6th he knew he could get away with anything. And he has. He's not the problem, those refusing to hold him accountable are the problem. Then and now.
FIVE YEARS & he has not been held accountable for one of the most disgraceful events in this nation's history.
Trying to overturn a fair election in an attempted coup against his own government is the very definition of TREASON. We can never move forward until this is fully adjudicated. #ShameOnUS🇺🇸

The MOST shameful day?
Nah, not even in the top ten really.
We obliterated two cities. Women, children, dogs, vaporized them.
We dropped napalm on children.
We tortured POWs and called it "enhanced interrogation"
How many fishermen have we executed?
We toppled a government over lies, more than once.
January 6, 2021 was the most shameful day in American history. It should live in infamy. We will never forget it, and we will not let the nation or the world forget — despite the revisionism of Trump and his lackeys in the Republican Party.

Is Maderno bad? Yes.
Is that the point?
No!
And frankly I don't believe it's acceptable to do even with the approval of Congress.
It's not our job or place to overthrow Governments.
Imagine China or Russia performing "regime change" here?
Or arresting trump for his crimes?
As Administration officials seem to be struggling with this, let us say it again: it is illegal to use the U.S. military to invade a foreign country without the authorization of Congress and is a violation of international law.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I see far too many "I just left twitter" posts on here.
Congratulations??
It's a sad reminder that for too many people convenience, profit, exposure, popularity, "followers", are all far more important to them than morality and decency and having a fucking spine. And they seem to want a prize for it
January 6, 2026 at 2:26 PM
Ummmm, and they have from the beginning. "Media" has always been biased in whatever direction makes them money. Socials have ALWAYS used and manipulated your data to sell you things. It's how it's always worked. Yall just didn't give a shit. And if you're using "AI" for answers, that's a you problem
Nothing untrue here...

This very American idea that joining the military somehow makes you a better person is so weird. I don't care that you and your entire family "served". Actually, I do, it speaks to your judgement. Putting on a uniform doesn't automatically make you a good person, or "better", or "patriotic".
January 6, 2026 at 2:14 PM
The apparent belief that we as a nation can simply invade whatever nation we wish, for whatever reason we create, is not going to end well for us. And never really has. Over 20 years in Afghanistan and the only people "we" helped was military contractors.

While I despise trump it's valid to question how Venezuela is any different than Iraq. Afghanistan. Somalia. Vietnam.... Is murdering fishermen truly different than "collateral damage" from "bad intel"? How is arresting a leader different than murdering one and dumping their body in the ocean?

I mean, seriously.

Hating ICE isn't about "illegals", it's about the Constitution, rights, law.
Floyd wasn't about his criminal record, it was being executed by cops.
It's not if there are drugs in the boat, it's about extrajudicial executions.
It's not if Maderno is a bad person, it's about our Constitution.

Each time we've done something like this, and it's been far too many times, it seems like not a single person involved could see past their own nose. Do they think the entirety of Venezuela is going to be like "oh, cool, ok"? The rest of the World is simply going to shrug? OPEC won't blink?
Authoritarian Donald Trump said the United States is "going to run" Venezuela.

What's next? Venezuela is to become the 51st State? I wouldn't put it past him. And his pet Congress and his buddies at SCOTUS would probably remain silent about that too.

If you're going to post that this is about The Epstein Files, don't.

Just have a cup of tea instead.

We have not in our recent history, personally experienced the reality of "war". Even Pearl Harbor was far, far away for most. We've glorified and whitewashed the rest of our violent history.

There are no remnants here. Even the internment camps are long gone. Our cities have never been bombed.
Perhaps some day ppl will realize that when the U.S. bombs Palestinians, bombs Venezuelans, bombs Somali, that those bombs will one day drop on them, too.

There is no "they deserved it" or "it's a third-world shithole." There are just powerful people bombing poor people.

Our arrogance has always baffled me. We've not once won a war on our own. Ever. Without French Canadians help we'd have lost the revolution. Vietnam was an embarrassment. Shit, even WWII/Japan was more luck on our part and bad planning on theirs. Afghanistan was a wash. WWIII? We don't win.
Like I said right away, besides everything else that's blatantly illegal and abhorrent about this, the whole VZ coup d'état is going to feed tankies till the next пятилетка...

Funny thing is, the oil companies don't want it and it won't make them a lot of money. And they told him this. Oil would have to be well over $100 a barrel to see any profit out of it and that would take a decade of development, drilling, infrastructure, at a cost of billions.
It’s all about greed and lining their pockets.

Continuing to insist everything he does is just to distract from the Epstein files is an insult to the people he has killed. He can do more than one horrible thing, and you need to be able to recognize that.

I do wonder, every day, if a line exists for his enablers and supporters. There will always be those who support him no matter what, because it's their entire personality, but they're insignificant. I'm talking about Congress, SCOTUS, the Military. Those with the power to stop him. Is there a line?
January 4, 2026 at 11:55 PM
Shitler has and is doing all he said he would. It's not a "distraction". He just kidnapped the leader of another nation, not as a "distraction" but because he could. The repercussions of that act aren't going to be a "distraction" but very, very real. And yall out here squawking about "Epstein".
January 4, 2026 at 11:31 PM
The only things possibly contained within those files yall can't stop talking about that could, eventually, possibly lead to an arrest and charge, would be explicit photos. That's it. The notations and ramblings of a ritch lunatic mean fuck all in court. Photos of girls in clothing mean nothing

Shitler is the "free range" toddler who's never heard the word no.
Repugs are the crunchy mom, antivax, home "school" idiot "parent".
Invading Venezuela is the Measles.
The rest of us are at the store watching the toddler wipe boogers on the produce.
January 4, 2026 at 3:14 PM
I wonder how OPEC is going to react to the United States overthrowing one of their founding nations in order to take over oil production in that nation? I do wonder. While Shitler may be able to shred our Constitution with impunity he's going to find consequences actually exist outside our border
January 4, 2026 at 2:09 AM
The irony of invading Venezuela for the oil is that, while it does have massive reserves, it's one of the most expensive places to drill and export. These oil companies won't drill until the price per barrel goes way, way up. Otherwise they lose money.
January 4, 2026 at 1:32 AM
Remember that whole thing about obeying your oath and not following illegal orders? Yeahhhhhh, that's going to matter at some point here in the near future. While we may not hold them accountable the rest of the World absolutely will.

I've been through multiple fire trainings, some far more in depth than others. One of the first things I do when entering any space is clock the exits and overall fire safety. I've walked out of more than a few places because of it. It's oft amazed me how few give it a single thought.
Sparklers shooting foot-long flames, a ceiling covered in flammable foam and a crowded basement with a narrow staircase exit are some of the avoidable hazards that fire experts, witnesses and an analysis of visual evidence suggest turned a festive bar in a Swiss Alpine resort into a deadly disaster.
