Morning rush hour on Cycleway 6 at Midland Road. 25 riders in same space as a van and a Range Rover

Build it and they'll come...
Sunday family spin from London Bridge to Cold Blow Lane for an awesome play street in the tunnels, now closed to traffic and a space for kids and parents. The route almost all on protected cycleways, so our 7 yr old son could ride the whole way there and back.

Great presentation by the LCC Women's Network at the 2025 London Walking, Wheeling and Cycling Conference. Well done Kate! 👏

Reminder: London's Cycleways need to be routed through safe places - eg not parks - to work for everyone 24/7 🚨

Last gov's attempt to stop LTNs, 20mph zones abandoned. 'Good' says @adamtranter.bsky.social ex-West Midlands active travel commissioner. Reducing road danger & giving people safe travel choices back on table with more evidence. Time for London to deliver then... www.standard.co.uk/comment/low-...
Low Traffic Neighbourhoods save lives, it’s time to stop pretending otherwise
The news that Labour have decided not to proceed with the previous Conservative Government’s “Plan For Drivers” should be welcomed, but should also hardly be a surprise.

Great to see more bike hangers finally arriving in the south of the borough.
This one on Amblecote Road (Grove Park).

Looks like Forest dockless bikes have arrived too. Hopefully the parking bays will be here in next few months.

We're spending more on subsidising the purchase of EVs than we are on active travel for the next 2-3 years.
A good connected transport network and politics that gave people real choice would be utopian.
