RIP dear mother. Mavis Marie Hopkins was born on 13 Aug 1933 in Kentucky, and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the widow of my father, Vonie Williams. We had this photo professionally taken in 1992 in Florida about a year after dad died. Mom passed away, suddenly and peacefully, on Dec. 3, 2025.
After his defense collapsed against the Patriots, I'd say a hard no on his candidacy. We need somebody who can beat AFC teams.

Burke was DC for the Dolphins and got shafted by Flores when Flores was hired as head coach, so Burke might have a personal grudge against the Dolphins.

I'm not opposed to Kevin Stefanski. He made lemonade out of the lemons he was stuck with in Cleveland. He revived the careers of Baker Mayfield and Joe Flacco. He’s from the Sean McVay coaching tree, and is considered an "offensive mind." It helped that he had Myles Garrett and DC Jim Schwartz.

I'd add Texas DC Matt Burke to this list, if I were the Dolphins brass. His defense looked awesome against the Steelers last night, and is one of the best in the NFL.
For the first time in years, the NFL playoffs have been competitive and enjoyable (except for the Steelers). The Division Round has great match-ups, and you can make the case for each team winning the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, my sad Dolphins still need to hire a head coach.
