Norwegian tall ship Statsraad Lehmkuhl arrives in San Diego harbor Tuesday morning for a stop at the Maritime Museum. The 150-year-old, three-masted barque was greeted offshore by the Californian, a Vietnam-era PCF 816 Swift Boat and 1914 Pilot Boat — three of the museum’s historic sailing vessels.

RIP Robert Redford. Interviewed him several times in the 1970s. Devastatingly handsome, intellectually curious, down to earth, oozing charm, starred in many top films, won an Oscar as director, founded Sundance, activist who supported liberal causes. Simply a legend. He was 89 years young.

Padres SP Randy Vasquez has an eye-popping stat: Team is 16-9 in games that Randy starts. He did not walk any batters in his past two starts against the Rockies. Walks have been his Achilles heel. So if he attacks batters, he has a better chance at getting out of an inning, and staying with Padres.

Just took an online poll of California residents. To date, 6,566 people have responded. Some really interesting results about current politicians and future candidates. Trump and Vance are loathed by most Californians. And Pete Buttigeig is more beloved than Gov. Gavin Newsom.
