Because I have been such a good boy (once again), 🎅 has an early present for me: here's a brand-new (open access) article discussing the use of #radicalright as a concept in current scholarship.

And if that wasn't already great (it is), there's more 1/3

Now assigned to the latest issue of International Politics!
With the new US National Security Strategy, it's the 'perfect' timing to reflect on the implications of the far-right on European security - a topic I discuss in this article:

What kind of vision(s)? The far-right and European security - International Politics
Far-right parties are now widespread in different countries across Europe, raising questions about states’ commitment to European security. These parties varied their positions on the Russian invasion...

Happy to have contributed a piece on the far right to the anniversary report of the Karlspreis. The impact of the far right does not only depend on seats or government participation. Their success erodes support for international collaboration because other parties accommodate and legitimize them.

Lots of great work has been done on populism in world politics, but there's still lot to do to understand the international implications of the far-right.
Similarly to Tarik's point, these parties don't just want nationalist policies and less cooperation. They target global governance mechanisms.
Academics and the media need to make sure that those in power understand what the current threat is and how imminent it is. In Europe and the UK, too. People need to understand that this movement is not about legitimate policy concerns. They don't just want less immigration and single sex spaces 3/
