New, awful Arc Raiders idea: Cowboy duel roleplay. Name as something cowboy related. Talk like a cowboy. Spawn in with two Anvils. Find prey. Introduce yourself with some cliche and request a duel. Hand over an Anvil. Backs turned, ten paces. If they win, gg. If you win, rez them and give some loot

OK and this round I found a random French guy who wanted to team up. Then I bolt for the most danger I could see, instantly die (turns out Bombadiers have a melee attack). before I bleed out I entrust my possessions to a different rando who apologised for not having a rez. so beautiful i could cry

Arc Raiders: Gave my Hullcracker away temporarily to a friendly voice chatter who claimed new to the game. Fought the Matriach a bit, then the Leaper that it spawned (?) with a +1. It died on a slope and we spent 5 mins running up and sliding down without managing to loot much. Hilarious (1/2)

Said "ah ggs sry you got me" as he loomed over. Says "well if ur good then its ok" and rezzes me. I can never go Bad Mode again.

sorry to complain about Metroid Prime 4 but I'm a Souls guy. my games must be genuine/take themselves seriously, centre around my adventure & actions (NPCs should not randomly spout dialog if I don't interact), and respect me as a player. (1/2)

Pretty much all affordability discourse could benefit from just posting this chart.
If you're in the better off America, all the luxury goods you want in excess are for the most part much cheaper. If you're in the poorer America, most of the shit you need to live/grow is more expensive.

It really is that simple.
The thing that gets me about ARC’s use of fully generated barks, as well as in The Finals, is that the juice is absolutely not worth the squeeze in a game that is unquestionably high effort. Like it sounds bad because there isn’t a human performance to ground it.
For Arc Raiders to ride the wave of human sociability all the way to the bank, while also being so contemptuous of the thing that makes us social animals in its own workflow demonstrates a lack of artistic integrity that I find impossible to ignore.

had an utterly harrowing Arc Raiders round last night that I needed like 30mins to decompress after lol. night raid (or was it regular but dark?), took a ton of dmg from raider potshots throughout. didn't accomplish much, ran scared from the 10min elevator, missed the timing for the 5min (1/n)

I did the thing, I took out my would-be killer in Arc Raiders, gave them a talking-to, then revived them. they were Russian but they still said sorry and moped off LMAOO

had an altercation in Arc Raiders, some guy shot me while I fought a Baron, I said "don't do that", I turned around and emptied a clip into them. told them "now just wait while I heal and I'll defib you" but they surrended. Weak. Then I took down the Baron with a rando's help. Stronk

ok for real the Arc Raiders AI voice acting sucks ass. no point writing random witty filler if it's not going to be read by a real person who can intone and emote consistently
