On shame in organizing: I was part of a conversation on social media about trying to access political organizing through desire instead of shame; perhaps waiting until a person had a desire to do something about wages at work, organizing their apartment building, or another issue. (thread)

As Mars squares Saturn, a loving reminder: it's okay to do small work on a big problem. It's okay to create small experiments or to be scattered in your approach. Integration in self & community takes time, non-linear growth, and reckoning with opposing truths.

Ah yes, why else would our inner children need healing? The nuclear family, an entity of patriarchal & capitalist control, can secretly isolate & devastate both children & caregivers, while presenting itself as the paragon of safety & security. So confusing!

This is very familiar. It's why I started writing (I'm a writing coach too), so I could get my thoughts in one place and make my evidence and arguments stronger. Eventually some of that transferred so I can sometimes access it when I'm talking.
