Feeling very strange to discover someone has spent thirty years trying to track down a short story that was written by my great aunt Ruth C Paine! (Paine is my maiden name). She'd have been so happy that her story made an impression! 📚😍
You have no idea how happy this makes me - I have spent perhaps thirty years trying to trying to re-trace that story.
The book was a different anthology though, but now I have the story name and author hopefully that next stage will not be difficult.
Perhaps I should blog about this book-quest?

This is a fantastic novel, I absolutely loved it! A steal at just over £8 and would make a wonderful Christmas present 🎁 💙⭐️
The hardback of my novel currently has 45% off at the big bad book place, making it a smudge over £8. It's gold and blue and quite festive looking. I'd say it'd make an excellent Christmas gift for anyone who liked slim experimental novels about medieval mystics... which is everyone, right? 📚🎄✒️

This pantser is about to try out the sequences trick by Alexandra Sokoloff for plotting and writing (yes, @rachelblackmore.bsky.social, I know - finally!). Hoping it can help me work out just what should happen in the middle of the story 😆
