another #ttrpg Tuesday (on the west coast at least) update for you!

this time i have added pets that are immortal so long as their caretaker lives, a powerful technique accessible only to the cursed Scinechial, but a gift they may bestow upon others

i am trying to figure out the best way to prevent Jellyfin from bogarting the CPU when i am playing a game

i was thinking to increase its niceness but that could reduce streaming performance too, even when no game is playing

so it would need to be dynamic, detecting like full screen applications?

haha waking up and immediately writing a linguistics thread with one eye open only to realize later i put entirely incorrect words in some places

they are called "collective nouns" not "collecting nouns" 🥸
terms of venery and specialty connecting nouns are the most fun and ridiculous part of English grammar

completely unnecessary and serving no practical use

but everyone smiles when first sharing "a *parliament* of owls" with someone

and "a *murder* of crows" is so much more evocative than "flock"

I think people should turn Dylan Control into a girl. All Control protagonists should be girls

The funniest part about this line of thinking is later Clive Barker revealed just how homophobic his publisher was, and I think about the number of times this has happened that we will never hear about. www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/0/clive-b...

linked that RPS article about the Mewgenics cast in a chat

one guy went on a rant about how much they hate RPS because of an article they published about the Spiderman remaster being copaganda

like what

why is that what made you boycott them

i think some self-reflection is in order

it is surreal that the anti-government conspiracy folk are suddenly so trusting

implying that the evil people are just lying about not doing evil things

as if lying is something politicians and evildoers are incapable of doing

there is a spreadsheet of Discord alternatives which also lists if they used LLM code

it says that Matrix does and Element is listed as "unsure"

i asked the person who posted it how a protocol was integrating AI while a client might not

they said they would send me a link

no link has appeared

I want to tie a girl up, plug her, gag her, make it she she's completely helpless...

Then put on Star Trek: The Next Generation and make her watch all of season 1 with me as I give a long commentary about the history of the show and how they reused concepts from an earlier show called phase II
