the biggest thing is being treated less like you are "lazy" or all the other things that adults call children to blame them for things they cannot control which causes a lifetime of issues

most big companies are not interested in making a "fun" game, they want to make an *addictive* game
a game where if you play a lot of it they can exploit you more effectively even as they make it less fun, so long as they keep it addictive
and i wish more people could intuit that and reject it
