The finale of the great TV comedy show Blackadder goes Forth.
Back then I didn't expect one of the funniest programmes ever to end with a scene that makes me cry every time I see it.
Every single time.

Hi Bluesky 👋

Small life update: I’m at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenney’s UCP

It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history

I’m ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you 🧵

I completed my first inspections, and associated tasks, as a volunteer with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. Location: St. Columban's Cemetery, Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. It's very satisfying to do my bit, to honour the fallen. @cwgc.bsky.social

This gravestone, recorded in Trepassey, was carved by Alexander Smith in St. John's. This is the most detailed of his work I've ever seen! Really love the vines forming the IHS & bundles of grapes on the edges!! 🏺 #cemetery #archaeology

Happy Victoria Day, Canada! Here's our most Victorian of buildings, the Parliamentary Library in Ottawa. Designed by Fuller & Jones, begun 1859, opened 1876. The Birthday Girl herself presides over the interior.

Always love a gravestone that mentions the person's profession. This one has a quote from Gray's "Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard" and a winged skull that was slightly old-fashioned by the 1790s (note the square edges, rather than an older style).
