I can confirm via friend that works at MSP….”there was a confrontation with Ice and tsa yesterday. They were confronting the tsa in the checkpoints and asking for THEIR papers”

Never heard of a 'melting ulcerated eye' before, but this poor young* fellow had one and apparently removing the eye was the best option. He is now home and recovering, and acting like everything is good in the world again.

*15 years, but other than the eye, in almost perfect health.

This would've been a much better LNP government leadership team than Abbott & ScoMo. Why can't we have good things?
Adelaide Writers Festival just reduced to Christoper Pyne and Alexander Downer on stage getting increasingly sloshed on gin and tonics trading bitchy gossip about other people

Here’s a comment for the people who are upset that MN hasn’t charged Jonathan Ross already:

If you just Leeeroy Jenkins this shit you will lose and you will empower fascism and murder.

It is indescribably hard to prosecute cops for murder. It is even hard when the murder is ON VIDEO.

Life on Mars - UK version. The abysmal ending of the US version is such a contrast.
Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

What's the *best* ending to a show you've ever seen? Quote/reply etc

The fact these conversations are being had by some very serious people is just surreal. Can’t imagine what it’s like in those meetings having to wargame an invasion by a supposed ally.

Anyone know if I can bring half-empty bottles of alcohol back in to Australia? Or do they need to be unopened? I’m currently enjoying a particular liquor that I won’t finish before returning home.

Anyone know if Venezuela happens to have any top notch golf courses? Might not be the oil he’s after.

Ended up in an Irish Bar in Rome this evening, drinking Guinness and listening to a very loud Twisted Sisters. Bloody good evening. Tomorrow might be a bit rough.

Any Premier League fans here? Off to my first game this Saturday, Brighton Hove Albion vs Sunderland. Kickoff is 3pm. What time is the game likely to finish? I have to organise the train back to London.
