a ancient man
Every day patterns are being uncovered. An ear held to the quiet tapping on the silkstrands of culture. Another word translated from a secret language of masked, grinning faces, laid in a dictionary to one day be held above their heads, shouting “WE TOO SEE.” Credit @lannabellelee.bsky.social

Here’s an algebraic structure: R union {infinity}, with these two binary operations:
+,
and x || y = 1/(1/x + 1/y).
What is this? Each binary operation is independently an abelian group plus an absorbing element. But I don’t see any obvious identities involving both operations.

oh my god
what's not part of this anecdote is that it happened AGAIN, on cars 2. an intern wrote a cron job to delete his daily code tree, re-sync and rebuild every night. so that like looked like rm -rf /$MY_TREE

unix users following along will see where this is going

Hamlet is a classic, of course. They put JJ Abrams in charge of Hammet and we all know how that turned out. And the prequels, Hamjet and Hamket — complete pandering garbage. So I’m thrilled to see Chloe Zhao save the series with her latest offering.

60 minutes CECOT segment. Recorded through my browser. HD quality. Not phone. Spread it around. If you're press, it's yours. Go nuts.

It's streaming on a Canadian website, but there is no telling for how long.

chomsky was very important to me when i was young, but i learned a long time ago that a sense of betrayal is a more appropriate response in moments like this than knee-jerk defense.

Ok smart people. How would you deal with this totally stripped, 1/16” hex set screw? I have now tried:
- WD-40
- Penetrating oil
- Heating it with a soldering iron (only melted the plastic a bit)
- Flathead screwdrivers (1/16” too small, 3/32” too big)
- Hammering a 5/64” hex key in (too big)

Who do we think he was talking to in this one? Seems to be giving advice about US-China Diplomacy? Advice such as "That's why a military display makes sense. Let them and others see, daddys.
Spanking paddle"
and
"First chapter art of war"

This is cool. COURIER has created a searchable database with all 20,000 of the files just released from Epstein’s estate.

Trump's name appears in them more than anyone else, in 1,628 documents.

Might fuck around and invent a new form of masculinity. "Glancemales" or some shit. "Pastaboys." We'll lock down the exact language once we get some VCs on board.

for almost every instrument you have to keep activating some muscle to keep the sound going.

EXCEPT: the guitar family, harps, xylophones etc., and cymbals. (and some weird electronic stuff)

1) this is really cool,
2) she sounds like Judee Sill kinda,
3) an underappreciated hallmark of shapenote style is the pangender octave-doubling of the tenors & trebles, which results in closer harmonies than you’d get from a sex-segregated chiurch choir
