I have not stopped feeling the way Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie ending with The Waters of March made me feel since I saw it. Hilarious, deeply silly movie that all of a sudden dropkicks you with one of most heartwarming, beautiful fucking endings I've ever seen

RIP Tom Noonan, probably my favorite actor of all time. If you haven't seen them, I can't recommend WHAT HAPPENED WAS, MANHUNTER, LAST ACTION HERO, and the X-Files ep PAPER HEARTS enough

A weird, wild, VERY 1970's, VERY "written by Oliver Stone"-ass movie, which made @kinoventura.bsky.social the perfect guest, though I guess he always is. Sorry about All The Loves We've Tried Before, we're trying to do something about it

Writer and returning guest @kinoventura.bsky.social is back to discuss the Turkophobia, performances, and Giorgio Moroder's classic score in MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (1978), a true prison break story.

More emphasis on the "prison" than the "break."

We don’t need a celebration we need to abolish ICE and get justice for those murdered and for those whose rights have been violated and return our neighbors. Reminder the Roman Colosseum was a propaganda machine that enforced hierarchy and was a distraction from living standards. Stay focused MPLS.

Notice how the popular media narrative has moved on, while people on the ground in Minneapolis are still struggling and crying out that things are as bad as ever. This is how fascist regimes operate — overreach, recalibration, normalization. Get louder, not quieter.

i think this more than anything is what miller wants. vast detention camps with all of the suffering and death that means.
ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...
