Don't take it from me. Take it from the government's own assessment:
Everything Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves have said about nature protection blocking house building is big fat shining lie.
A lie now being locked into legislation before Parliament.
www.theguardian.com/environment/...
UK government admits almost no evidence nature protections block development
Whitehall analysis provides no data or research to support the government argument that environmental legislation holds up building

With folks celebrating No Other Land’s win, maybe also consider donating to a Palestinian’s fundraiser as they are once again facing starvation due to Israel’s restriction of supplies into Gaza.

Here’s a few that you can donate to ⬇️

Yes, the UK government SHOULD abandon its Carbon Capture and Storage scheme, which
a. would cause a net *increase* in emissions
b. is unlikely to work
c. uses tens of billions that'd be much better spent on genuinely green projects.
Let's hope it has seen sense.

Labour’s carbon-capture scheme will be Starmer’s white elephant: a terrible mistake costing billions | George Monbiot
The supposedly green project – brainchild of the previous Tory government – will increase emissions, not reduce them, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

It's utter madness.
In today's column I discuss how Labour in the UK, just like Trump in the US, is dismantling the administrative state. And how this makes its other plans, including the good things it's trying to do, impossible to implement.

It’s straight from the Trump playbook: Labour is tearing up the machinery of government | George Monbiot
If Starmer and Reeves really want a greener, cleaner, wilder nation, then why attack vital state bodies that are already on their knees?, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot

Of course my second post on here had to be a #museumbum.
Here's a fun, dramatic bum 👍🏛️🍑 #MuseumBums

Mostly hoping to find the magical combination of absurdist humour, quality conversation on nature, climate and queerness, non-baity content outside my niche, and overall wholesomeness that took me nearly 10 years and 10 billion clicks on "block" to build on that other service. How hard can that be?
