The first much needed step towards better terms and conditions for GPs in NI.
GPs in Northern Ireland have rejected the 2025/26 contract offer from the Department of Health. Chair of NIGPC Frances O'Hagan has now written to the minister to request an urgent meeting.

This year, the UK has been marked out as the least tolerant country in NW Europe [ranked 22nd].

Significantly less tolerant than Ireland [14th], France [15th] or Germany[18th] [1]

I’ve signed this letter. If you teach at a UK uni you come into contact with many trans students; they’re no different, apart from the higher barriers to inclusion they face. If you teach queer history, you know that gender diversity is a simple fact. We have to resist this harmful moral panic.
