Goddamnit, Owls are cool...
An owl gliding through a cloud of helium-filled soap bubbles reveals wingtip and tail vortices.

As as professional Sam and father of multiple humans & nonhumans alike, I get to joy-read very little. I was indescribably happy to have picked up The Pedestrian by @seanvongorman.bsky.social
& @joeyesposito.bsky.social . A prime example of what makes an amazing comic. I love it. More please.

To every idiotic comment about 'the problem' with transfolk: This. Now it may seem like I'd agree with the popular rhetoric, what with my daddy vibes, Texas accent, and big-manly-man aesthetic, but I'm tired of explaining how full of shit you all are. Go ponder on *why* it bothers you so much.
Why do you care what my gender is? It doesn’t affect you. So why does it bother you? Is it really something about me? Or is it something inside you? Some assumptions about gender you’ve been handed down that my existence doesn’t fit into? Why is that upsetting? Maybe think about that.

Um, were they shackled? I mean, there are laws. But they're pretty much ignored or, at most, selectively enforced. Ain't a lotta "restraint" in Texas churches & politics, as it is.
Earlier: The ban on churches endorsing candidates is overwhelmingly supported by Americans. 77% of Americans surveyed oppose houses of worship endorsing political candidates and 67% say houses of worship should keep out of political matters altogether.
How Trump’s IRS May Unshackle Churches from Their Political Restraints
As if everyday life in these United States wasn’t politicized enough, your local house of worship could soon become a part of the campaign battlefield.

Apparently, the only thing that was keeping me from getting really into my yard, like the other dads, was the fact that I lived in a hell-swamp of misery. Here, in the land where people are intended to LIVE, I can weed'n'seed with the best-of'm! And, it just, it feels great.

Like, i'm used to two birds being around. Pidgeons and the common grackle.
Here, we got these adorable bastards descending en masse. I'aint never seen more than one robin at a time, ever. There were like 300 on my walk today! And i'm the only one amazed by it!!

So i moved recently. From, what can generally be referred to as, the swampy oil-rich region of the southern "united" states, to a lush valley, nestled snuggly between the Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountain ranges. And it's...just one of Earth's greatest gifts to living things. I am in constant awe.
