A writer. Lover of socks & coffee. Author of Fathoms Uncharted & other things. Screenwriter. US Army Veteran. Possibly Immortal.
Hey Writing Friends! I've got a short script that I believe has got LEGS! I'd love it if anyone would be interested in taking a look at it for me!
And I'd be super happy to return the favor!
Here's the log line:
Facing an imminent apocalypse, 3 friends argue over what to bring on their escape.

Podcast promotion! ✨✨ Now with VIDEO! ✨✨

I'm going to get even further out of my comfort zone and ask you to share this with anyone who likes audiobooks, speculative fiction, and guys with beards who put them together into a podcast.

Thanks, friends :)

Shakespeare's line, "If he could right himself with quarelling, some of us would lie low," has never felt more relevant to this old US Army Veteran.

If y'all think the people who swore to defend this nation will idly & complicitly stand by while it destroys itself, you're gravely mistaken.

Bath & Body Works has this line of Disney princess scented products. Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Tiana. They're all here...
Except Vanellope Von Schweetz. She got cut, and it seems a little too specifically unfair to me. Like, WTH?
Why the hate for the star of Wreck-It Ralph?

What is it with so many predatory businesses in the creative field? I expected a few scams, but it's getting ridiculous! So many people dipping into the (typically empty) pockets of new writers. All I want is to get my book to readers & maybe MAYBE get a review!

Thank you for reading my rant!

In all honesty, I'm surprised that people havewillingly jumped aboard the 'Mothers Against Canada' bandwagon driven by Kyle's mom.

I have always loved System Shock 2. Its sci-fi horror setting and role-playing mechanics have earned tenure in my hard drive.
I've been excited ever since I learned about the remaster.
But I gotta say, paying $30 for what amounts to a slight graphics update just isn't in my budget.

I see people boycotting Tesla & Musk and all that, and I'm like: sure, get after it.
But I also have to admit that even if Elon stood for Veterans rights or supporting writers, I would never, ever buy a cybertruck because they look like lazy props from an 80s sci-fi movie.

I hate writing personal statements for writing fellowships.

I don't know how to cram introspection, ambition, and the 'je ne sais quoi' of my whole self as a writer into 400 words.

It was 500 words last year. Now I'm really missing those spare 100 words. For adjectives and whatnot.

Not sure if I'm weird or if everyone finds the ambient music in KOTOR 2 soothing.

I'm probably just weird.

Now I've gone and done it.
Deleted & uninstalled my Twitter.
Place was getting worse every day.
Bad news is that I'm practically starting over at less than 100 followers.
So, if you know anyone looking for another nerdy writer to follow, send 'em my way, please!!!

This morning, I discovered that my daughter has eaten the front heel of our store-bought bread loaf.
She just...ate it, ancient laws be damned.

Perhaps she IS the Chosen One.

Way back when Attack of the Clones came out, Triumph the Insult Dog arrived to heckle fans in line for the movie, including a pregnant woman due to give birth that June.
I wonder, what happened to that kid?

I would have never suspected that making Dwight Schrute a Regional Manager was the metaphor we deserved and the one we needed.

I had the dream again. The one where I'm still in the Army. We're going to the field, but I can't find my shirt. I've got pants on, and my boots (sometimes I've got my boots, sometimes I'm missing those, too), and everyone's waiting on me, but I'm not ready.

If I'm ever fortunate enough to get lunch with Jane Espenson and Aaron Sorkin, someone will need to physically wrench me from that table before I'm ready to leave.
