Excited to cite this work, which expands nicely on my team’s 2025 pub!

We also compared actigraphy vs. self-report (daily diary) across the perinatal period, but only out to 4 months (instead of 12!). We interpreted our results with some qualitative data, too!

Our article on perinatal self-injurious thoughts & behaviors is out today! We found that the odds of engaging in self-injurious behavior were 256% higher at 7 months postpartum relative to 3rd trimester of pregnancy, even after accounting for three risk factors. doi.org/10.1111/sltb...

New pub on perinatal sleep!!
🤰😴

Diary + actigraphy data tended to track with each other from 3rd trimester to 4mo postpartum, but WASO was significantly more discrepant during 6wk post. We interpret these and other results with qual data, too! Yay mixed methods!

VERY helpful 🧵 as I’m about to begin my EMA study on perinatal SITBs. I’m planning to use items from already “validated” measures (rather than generating my own single items) and just assumed you’re supposed to stick with their pre-established response formats … Questioning that now 🤔🫠
EMA & daily diary researchers—

Do you think it’s more important to have a Likert-response scale with more constricted range (e.g., 1-7 and each number has a phrase anchoring it) OR a wider, more intuitive range (e.g., 0-10 with anchors at the lowest, midpoint, and highest)?
