It's 2 am. I forgot to eat. The 3D printer is crankin' it to 9 sets of thingamabobs I sent it half an hour ago. I just finished returning $40 worth of faulty hygrometers.

Did you know your MacBook has a sensor that knows the exact angle of the screen hinge?

It’s not exposed as a public API, but I figured out a way to read it and make it sound like an old wooden door.

Printing a TPU part is so much less stressful nowadays. And you can push it so much faster than you think. Bumped up the volumetric flow by 300% or shit 90A and it's still perfect, even on this super skinny part.

I have given away most of the fidgets and toys I made in my first month of owning a 3D printer again.
This means there's room to print *moar* fidgets and toys.
I love it when a plan comes together.

It's been about a month since I got a 3D printer again. Yesterday I cracked open the PA6-CF for the first time and printed off a couple test prints
I have fallen in love with this aesthetic. Woe to my bank account, I want to print everything in Carbon Fiber Nylon

I've been doing a lot of chilling out in bed reading and a lot less consuming visual media lately. Feels good, and also like I'm wasting a lot of my space in this apartment.

Three months in and the btrfs raid6 (metadata raid1c3) seems to not be an issue? I'm sure I'll regret it come drive failure time, but right now getting NFS to not leave zombies around was a bigger issue

Having a blast with some new dev boards! My old hoard was arduino, teensy, stm32, and esp8266 boards from 10+ years ago 😬
But now I've got shiny new ones!
Got some random breakouts just to fart around with and MY GOD I missed embedded work!!

TFW you have a minor heart attack after packet sniffing your network and finding there's a rogue router on your network assigning ipv6 addresses with a MAC address you don't recognize only to find out it's your backup wireless AP being a derp

It's surprisingly difficult to find a map of Japan's administrative regions that isn't kinda crap: don't show the regions and prefectures, print the names on busy backgrounds, or the borders are really faint.
This one is pretty good but the resolution isn't high enough for printing big.
