This is this administration’s attitude towards human life in a nutshell.

Republican and Democratic administrations have used different estimates of the monetary value of a human life in cost-benefit analyses. But until now, no administration has counted it as zero.

Charlie Kirk called me a ‘lunatic’ and a ‘prostitute’ and demanded I be deported.

Nothing, *nothing*, justifies killing him, or robbing his kids of their dad.

We don’t know the identity or motive of the shooter but murder can *never* be the response to political disagreements.

We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.

We must stand resolutely against political assassination and political violence of all kinds, and just as resolutely against everyone who exploits acts of violence as the pretext or excuse for political repression of political opponents.
Very, very bad stuff coming from leading right-wingers

Hear ye! Hear ye!
one sign that the “unitary executive” is less the restoration of an older constitutional order and more the imposition of a radical new one is that allowing the president to act untethered from most legal or congressional limits has largely just served to plunge the country into disorder

Question: Who’s more to blame for the corruption of American democracy, Trump or John Roberts? Not so easy..,

I would put money down that the only reason Collins didn’t cave and vote for the Big Horrible Bill is because Murkowski did. The only truly brave and principled stance would be if she were one of 4 GOP senators voting against it. Anything else is just strategy.

He doesn’t ALWAYS lie. Sometimes he’s just corrupt.
What he means is "deals" in the sense of exceptions for GOP donors' companies.
RADDATZ: Trump said he's made 200 deals on tariffs. 200 deals? Who has he made deals with? Is there actually any deal at this point?

BESSENT: I believe that he is referring to subdeals within the negotiations we are doing

Federal officials said Harvard must enact “merit-based reform” in hiring and admissions, among other things. Harvard called the demands unlawful.

Because they are evil, we must stand up to them.

But because they are also stupid, we needn’t be afraid to.
