Quelle surprise! Incompetent, grafting Tories headed by chief liar Boris 'Curse on Humanity' Johnson who I wouldn't trust to run a whelk stall. 🤬🤬🤬

That's an insult to whelk stall proprietors so I must apologise.

Tether, which Farage promoted on LBC in September, has been described as a money-launderer’s “dream currency” by the Economist.

While Reform is keen to highlight the positives of crypto, the party is rather less interested in acknowledging its downsides.

Harborne, one of the UK’s biggest political donors, gave around £10m in 2019 and 2020, when Reform was known as the Brexit Party. He also covered two of Farage's trips to the US.

Harborne also happens to be a shareholder in the crypto exchange Bitfinex and the stablecoin Tether.

The value of Fuel Duty is now at historic lows, having fallen by 23p per litre (or a third) in real terms over the past decade.

It would cost £5 billion *per year* to continue the freeze by the end of the decade.

Instead, smaller quarterly increases should be introduced.

I have now listened to the speech and most of the debate..Mahmood was outstanding..the policy is strong and the hysterical responses before this should shame everyone who made them or repeated them ! This is not perfect but it’s so much better than what we currently have both for refugees and others
I would urge people to listen carefully to the Home Secretary's full speech in the Commons on Asylum & consider the full range of measures, the examples & the comments on other countries.

You don't have to like it all, but there ARE things which many have called for.

Here is the first 3 mins.

He’s the antithesis of a decent Englishman.
He’s sly, he’s divisive, he has, at best, a tenuous relationship with the truth.
His avarice for wealth and power knows no bounds.
Many of his acquaintances have friends who wish this country ill.
Yet, the ignorant fawn over him.

Yet more lies and deceit from the Telegraph. They are making quite a habit of it recently. Not a reliable news provider.
1975 was BEFORE Margaret Thatcher (1979).

The reason Britain is worse is because of her.

Boris Johnson says the idea that criticism of the BBC is being organised by the right is ‘complete and utter bollocks’, which makes me think there might be something in it.

Fun (or not so fun) fact - the author of the “BBC bias” memo is a lobbyist for the American Pharmaceutical Group.

U.S. pharma companies recently threatened to abandon the UK unless the NHS pays more for its medicines.

They also donated millions to Trump’s campaign and inauguration

The more I think about, the more I realise that the attack on the BBC really is terribly thinly veiled - and listening to @newsagents.bsky.social’s episode today, you can see just how dangerous things are right now.

A very good episode from the people who know the BBC best.

It does feel a quite stark example of 'politics on easy mode' that the Tories got 14 years of leeway to screw up the economy and Labour don't even get a year to try to fix it
After Liz Truss's mini-budget, just 15 per cent of people felt the Tories were the best party at handling the economy

Today, the equivalent figure for Labour is 12 per cent

Bad news for the right wing extremist 'London has fallen' crowd...

London just named Best City in the World for 2026 - making it 11 consecutive years it has had that accolade, including every year that Sadiq Khan has been Mayor.

Will that cheer up the saddos?
