A statement of fact – that Hamas exists and is embedded in Palestinian society – and a straightforward condemnation of western intervention angered a class that’s never served Irish sovereignty, let alone Palestinian humanity

Catherine Connolly was right

Fine, here’s unequivocal – Catherine Connolly is right
There’s an intellectual insecurity to the Irish ruling class, its political parties, its media, its blind followers.

Just to clarify:
I'm autistic and it wasn't the vaccines.
I'm autistic but I don't do N@zi salutes and I try not to be too much of an @$$hole.

I think it's time to take out a newspaper subscription, though it could be an online one. Any recommendations
for reflective, analytical, truthful journalism?Though nothing is without bias. Mine is to view things with a centre left, decolonisation, neurodivergent-affirming lens. Advice please .

RTE news keeps referring to "Iran-backed Hezbollah" but never says "US/UK- backed Israel". Funny that. @news.rte.ie

As we de-medicalise autism, and move beyond the tragedy narrative, organisations and advocates need to work hard to call out ableism & to spread knowledge of supportive practice. Right now it's a really confusing landscape for parents and teachers.
Why it can be so hard for parents to find good autism info: "From refrigerator moms to extreme male brain theory to ABA therapy, the world of conventional medicine has frequently been as wrong about autism as the outright quacks." Emily Paige Ballou, at TPGA:

Shannon Airport last Sunday. Uniformed US soldiers chilling. Irish neutrality? Our Tánaiste/ Foreign Affairs Minister was visiting the county at the time. Sen Timmy Dooley was campaigning in Shannon. Blind eye turned to US army/ flights yet again. #GE24

Just found this #GE24 podcast. Ivan Yates being his gossipy irreverent self looking at candidates election prospects.
podcasts.apple.com/ie/podcast/c... - #ge24 - listened to it Ivan Yeats calling it on Clare. Leonara Carey (FG), Cathal Crowe (FF), Timmy Dooley (FF) and final seat for Donna McGettigan (SF) over Eddie Punch (II)
