Disability in some form will hit damn near everyone, either through advanced age, an accident or just shit happening.
Everyone should be fighting for the rights of disabled people. You can become disabled at any moment in your life and the likelihood that you or a loved one WILL become disabled at some point is very high!! Shouldn't take that but its the only marginalized group you can join at any time.

My heart is with the folks in the midst of the fires. We have been told and shown time and time again what climate change is doing. Can we move past thoughts and prayers to action please.
The insanity of being a fire ecologist in the epicenter of a major fire event, bags packed and ready to evacuate, watching active fire from my window, while taking media requests and explaining to the public, for the 100,000th time how climate change is largely responsible for this

(Seasonal) Depression and grief are strange bedfellows. I live in my bed except for short stints when I can fake being okay long enough to try to be something else. I'll be okay this too will pass but right now I think I gotta stay unfurled for a while.
