I'm editing a look ahead for Mamdani and NYC's business community (posting soon) and continue to be struck by how similar his stances are to Bill de Blasio's in 2013. Why the freakout now? It comes down to the absence of the Democratic Party as an institutional buffer protecting interests, methinks.
