1. As SNAP benefits expire, 42,000,000 hungry people may turn to the USDA website.

Now, the website blames their hunger on transgender people and immigrants.

It's a cynical ploy, an an indication that anti-trans measures are a Trump priority for the shutdown.

Anyway Gavin Newsom’s podcast is premised on this concept “I will bring on people I disagree with and have conversations with them and that’s good for Discourse” and then he invites Charlie Kirk, Steve Bannon, and Michael Savage. This is the thing about “Discourse among people who disagree:”

Happy International Women's Day!

May every woman find their way into the room where their voice is most needed—whether that's a board room, a legislature, or a PTA meeting.

When we stand up and speak our values, women change the world!

With CDC removal of trans data, its important I use my platform to support research in this space.

Emory is doing a virtual study on HIV+ trans-fem individuals and working on shaping viral load testing for this population, with some compensation.

1. Protests have erupted at multiple hospitals across the United States that have decided to comply with Trump's executive order banning trans care under 19.

Now, a lawsuit challenges that EO.

Your anxiety is not in your head. You’re not acting paranoid. You’re not antisocial. You’re not agoraphobic. You are not overly sensitive. The pandemic did not end and society stops taking precautions and measuring the impacts of the deadly disease. Protect yourself. That’s logic! ♿️
This is a reminder for anyone who needs it today: wanting to protect yourself from a virus that has the ability to disable you is not selfish

My advice is to folks who are feeling deep stress over the political climate. If possible, unplug. Go outside.

Physically, go outside and spend some time there, be present with the external world. If possible, connect with people you care about. Be present in the current moment.

I'm in a virtual conference and just learned that New Zealand completely eradicated human trafficking by decriminalizing sex work. So instead of sex workers being punished by carceral systems for coming forward, they're able to report traffickers while getting the resources they need. Boom, done.
