The attack on democracy is a Republican Party effort. Trump serves their goal for the time being, but the GOP is committed to replacing democracy with an authoritarian regime.

Just in the past 3 days, I happened to speak to an academic, a US politician and a former Biden official who had all received death threats and severe harassment from the MAGA movement. It's now a common experience. I am sorry MTG has to live through the same thing, but she can't be surprised

The great failure of the writers of the Constitution was creating the Senate, a body based on state borders with no correlation to voter population. Do away with the Senate and you don’t have to worry about the filibuster.

Schumer's a coward. Shaheen & co. soiled themselves. Yes, yes to all of it. But why don't Murkowski, Tillis, & company even get asked questions? Why do we have zero expectation of them? Journalists don't even bother trying. We have accepted Murc's Law as a constitutional provision. It's maddening.
