He died as he lived, clicking “Forgot password,” then checking his inbox for a code, then putting in that code, then setting up two-step verification, and then waiting for the text message that doesn’t come, and then calling the 800 number, and then downloading an authenticator app, and dying.

A trial court does not abuse its discretion unless it makes clearly erroneous factual findings or misapplies the law. The Court of Appeals reversed without finding either. It simply substituted its judgment for that of the trial court. That flies in the face of the abuse of discretion standard.
Exactly. This is my big problem. It’s the most conclusory of opinions possible.
It was particularly jarring that the majority did not explain how the trial judge abused its discretion.
Putting the law aside, it is incredibly disheartening to watch every single break fall Trump’s way. If the DQ sticks, is there another prosecutor in the state who can be bothered to prosecute?

Don't forget how many Republicans were STILL publicly willing to stick their necks out for Matt Gaetz knowing what he's accused of. Not only was it for nothing given the failed AG bid, but they proved themselves wiling to run cover for an alleged CHILD SEX TRAFFICKER. Was it worth it, Republicans?
