One problem with animal protein is that it is usually accompanied by a fair amount of fat. You might not see it, but even without the skin, about a quarter of the calories in a chicken breast come from fat. Animal products are especially high in saturated fat.

The insinuation that people need to watch out more on a plant-based diet is common fear mongering & even well meaning people fall into that trap as I pointed out in response to a BigThink video.
@hannahritchie.bsky.social I wanna point out that besides B12, studies show omnivores are generally more nutritionally deficient than #Vegans. Your comment “while a well-planned plant-based diet can meet most nutritional needs, it requires more conscious effort to ensure balance.” misses the mark
