Also the parent filled it out and it was only one item per tag (kids had multiple tags) so the stuff about kids asking for big ticket items or multiple things on one tag was also confusing lol

I only figured out this year that the angel tree everyone always talks about is totally different than the one my church did as a kid. The discourse has been confusing me because I was like “that’s… not how remember it working at all?”

For sure! I just had a very knee jerk “ugh can we not” reaction when she dropped the first line about it being drivel or whatever. But yeah it became very clear it wasn’t really about that.

I was wary of the “romance author that resents the genre” thing but the bit of backstory in ep 2 salvaged it and now I’m obsessed with her
