VDL is right. We should stop talking about defending “every inch” of European/NATO territory.
Unconsciously, it’s a way to assume that it is primarily an American responsibility. It’s not. This is a mission for the metric system.

Why Eurobonds or bust? 1. It generates a lot of cash fast, meaning big orders can be done fast to address big gaps: ammo, long range strike, tanks, air defense, artillery, air-tanker/transport, etc. 2. It's equitable! Debt servicing paid out of the EU budget so all member states contribute. 1/
Call me deeply dubious. Put aside whether to do this through the Commission or not. Setting up a new bank to provide loans just ain’t solving the problem. It’s all marginal, as is the EU 150bn loan proposal.
