do think it's a specific phenomenon though - when I interviewed a local GOP guy in South Carolina last year all he wanted to talk about was Tommy Robinson, and the New Jersey Republican woman I voxpopped last month was (racistly) obsessed with Sadiq Khan, it's all online rot I think
Can only conclude that the very online US commentators’ obsession with bashing the UK is the equivalent of a mental comforter to deflect from dealing with things closer to home.

I suspect that may be one of the case their noise cancelling earbuds took their sufficient attention from them and it made them unable to notice and read signs

『切腹』は本当に名作なんだけど、こっちのネットリ達矢もおすすめです。『七人の侍』ではシベリアンハスキーだった三船敏郎が、こんなに落ち着いたおじいちゃんになって……という楽しみもある。
『上意討ち 拝領妻始末』とても面白かったです教えてくれた人ｻﾝｷｭｰ。
でもさ、「お前のことは俺が一番知ってるんだ」と言わんばかりにねっとりした視線で三船敏郎を見つめてくる仲代達矢がもうちょっと活躍してほしくない？ あそこはもっとやおいの可能性があったよ！
そしてハラキリの方がﾌｧｯｷﾝ武士道ミステリーで好きです。

I think banning it would be bad, because:
1. It would backfire domestically
2. It would backfire HUGELY internationally
3. Democratic governments shouldn’t ban social platforms.
BUT: they really, *really* should stop using it.
