I know there's a formula that allows you to create a custom weapon based on traits while still remaining balanced, but I don't remember it offhand. D:
It's been like, 6 years since I started playin' PF2e and it's only now I realize there's no Axe with the Reach trait. And like only 9 Hammers... Why swords get all the love ;~;

This is why White Room Theorycrafting is a terrible approach to take - you end up making a lot of dumb, pointless arguments. In my games? I've seen spells and feats often seen as useless or weak get a TON of mileage and come in clutch. Also, combat in featureless open spaces? Pfft. Booooring.
Continues to amaze me how people act like standard Athletics actions most strength-based martials will have access to just don't fucking exist. #pathfinder2e

This is why when I run session 0s, a thing I emphasize is that regardless of your character backstory is or what their personality is like, you the player need to come up with reasons for your character being involved in the story. If you can't do that, we're gonna have big problems.
"But why would my character GO into the dungeon?"
Leaving aside that you should make a character that wants to engage with the game, HIS MAJESTY THE WORM bakes this into the premise. You DON'T want to go to the dungeon but there's SOMETHING you need there. This is your Quest. Define it at char gen.

My very first was a Pathfinder 1e Ranger named Holt Farstrider back in 2008. Played him for a year or two, then reused him in a different campaign when a friend ran something to help me learn D&D 5e around 2016-ish and lasted about 5 or so years. My boy will always have a special place in my heart.

Mine was a half-elf rogue named Morestal in D&D 3.5e around 2006 or 2007. Only played for 2 or 3 sessions, but he did live!

Remember the first round of my Vtuber cocktails? One drink on there used spiced pear vanilla syrup. I still had some left over and I mixed it into my tea. It had a really nice, warming flavor. Not overly spicy and not too sweet. Definitely recommend.

I see a lot of people complain about 'bad writing' or 'ruining characters', but I'm betting those same people have never written anything themselves. It's not bad - you either don't like it/it's just not for you or the themes go way over your head. If that's the case, fine. Own it.

This is why I've loved running PF2e as a GM. When I ran 5e previously, I had to do a lot of homebrewing to do stuff I wanted/needed - PF2e either already had it built in or had framework to show you how to do it. I also use fewer custom mechanics and more clever comboing of monster abilities.
PF2e has rules for ignoring rules safely ffs. There's many levers for adjusting things based on context.
You'll often hear people surprised to find out nearly all their house rules for 5e are just how things work over here and how they don't need to homebrew anything because there's so much content

Been seeing a lot of takes lately (especially on Twitter) saying that firearms, advanced tech, or anything non-medieval don't belong in the fantasy genre. Those who know me know I HEAVILY disagree with that idea, and have gone to great lengths to prove them wrong. #ttrpgs #fantasy #writing

Been a while since I shared any writing. I actually wrote a little thing to go along with the speakeasy illustration I posted previously (yes, it's fanfiction - I rarely do that either). It's also in a POV - 2nd person POV - that I don't do often. ~600 words too!

As a GM myself that runs and streams stuff and is pretty open to running for new people: this SEEMS like a cool idea, but can be a logistical nightmare to execute. Session 0s are extremely important - especially when running with strangers. A constant rotating slot for one-offs could end badly.

Y'all have your session as usual; DM, 3-4 players, but ONE rotating one-shot VTuber cast member. Super fun way to introduce goofy story lines and network with like-minded creators!
Plus the VTubing space is hurting for DND shows, so this could be fun! GLHF gamers! ❤️
