In terms of crowd energy, Some Might Say Oasis are still the #1 Rock 'N' Roll Stars!

Tuesday's Supersonic concert at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh exceeded their 2009 peak power reading during their performance of Cigarettes & Alcohol.

Great momentum at our second sandpit, where we dove into the first data produced from our interdisciplinary project between @heriotwattuni.bsky.social @unistrathclyde.bsky.social & @uofglasgow.bsky.social

Thank you @scotsages.bsky.social and Scottish Universities Physics Alliance for funding us!

I really enjoyed this meeting - I always love introducing people to the sea-surface microlayer. *And* thrilled to be voted in as the new AMBIO Chair 👋

Every country is warming.

Every country is experiencing more extreme weather events because of climate change, mainly caused by burning fossil fuels. www.ShowYourStripes.info

Time to #ShowYourStripes and start climate conversations to prompt actions to reduce emissions, personally & collectively.

It’s rare that I get into the field locally, and you can’t get much more local to @heriotwattuni.bsky.social than the Firth of Forth 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

A love for the outdoors is a big reason I became an Environmental Scientist, and doing fieldwork always reinvigorates that connection between those two parts of me.

Great turnout for weekly Lyell coffee ☕️

Thanks @marijasciberras.bsky.social for initiating this

Cake on a Friday is always a good idea. It’s been great working with you Blair!
Bidding farewell to Blair with cake! @HeriotWattUni will miss you! Good luck with new phase!

This was a great meeting. SAGES are a lovely community who have welcomed me into science in Scotland.
The 2025 SAGES Annual Science Meeting in Stirling has been great!

Thanks so all who came along and presented. It's been a wonderful two days in Stirling.

We’re scientists. We’re creative problem solvers. So, when the wine can’t be brought into the poster hall…

Flight attendant: Is there a doctor on the plane?

Me: Yes, but I'm not that kind of…

Flight attendant: The pilots want to know about marine CO₂ removal and its role as a climate solution.

Me: AT LAST!

An excellent Friday spent in Glasgow sharing ideas across disciplines - the absolute way forward in addressing environmental challenges.

Thanks @scotsages.bsky.social & SUPA for making this collab between @heriotwattuni.bsky.social @unistrathclyde.bsky.social & @uofglasgow.bsky.social possible!

A blue sky day here at the Lyell Centre in Edinburgh! See what I did there?

Thought it was about time I kicked off my Bluesky account, so here we go 🦋

The Lyell Centre is a partnership between Heriot-Watt Uni and the British Geological Survey. And, the place I have called research-home since 2022.
