But I will still add; I do not like the idea of this. I think for sort of moral and humanitarian reasons it bugs me (no pun intended).

And not super complex, but I can see going forward with dedicated instances at a company that runs its own model with very high computing power, and in a future where the models are a lot better than they are now… I mean, it’s not impossible that they’d be able to do quality control as well.

I hear you, and you may be right. I’ve asked Claude to review code it’s written that had bugs I found, and without even specifying what the bug is, I’ve asked it to review and bug hunt just to see if it’d catch them, and it did. It’s a small project ->

Yeah I do wonder about that going forward like… the upcoming generations of coders might not have to learn to think like a programmer, and to understand the code truly. Which could be a problem, unless; A) ”Manual” programming becomes a separate and specialized skill set. ->

Having said that; you can get away with letting the AI write even backend (which I have partially), as long as you understand what is happening. 👍👍❤️

Absolutely, which is also a valid way to use the tool. The important distinction I think is that word: tool. If you are unable to troubleshoot and understand the code, it’s going to be a problem eventually if you let the AI do everything. Know your limitations.

This is exactly what I’ve used it for. I’m more of a backend dev and even though I know my way around HTML and CSS, because you have to full stack when you do everything yourself, I never liked the design aspect. I wrote the backend, let Claude design everything and write some JS ->
