interested in the idea of a terminal roguelike where you play multiple units rather than a single character, but at an increased 'distance,' e.g. you're not taking everybody's turns, rather you're setting them objectives and they figure out the micro themselves.

"games you like playing" vs "games you like making" is such a fascinating divide to me. i love handcrafted action-and-puzzles rpgs but i have so far had Not Much Luck getting interested in level design lol so i lean quite heavily on procgen and roguelike systems

ha this enemy has an instantaneous shot count of 9 or so as well as a salvo count of at least 3 (i can't count because a single one firing eats up the entire projectile budget, so you only ever see a partial firing pattern).
