Well, in a twist of irony any English professor would call clichéd, it turns out IU did it because they were angry about the students' reporting on a FIRE report naming IU as the worst public university for free speech in the US.

When someone started tampering with Tylenol bottles in 1982 the company recalled $100 million worth of bottles immediately even though they clearly weren't at fault
an appropriate response to your product killing a child after months of psychological manipulation and torture is to take the product off the market before it kills again and the fact that this isn’t universally accepted right now is incredibly frightening

we see very clearly in public polling that people in california and D.C. hate the deployments and that americans broadly disapprove of them, but here we have an assertion that the smart strategy is to avoid any discussion of the situation in favor of a pivot to, you guessed it, kitchen table issues.

Well this was predictable. Labour's well publicised fearmongering about delivery drivers, especially with some of their adverts, was guaranteed to generate more hostility against people just trying to make a living. We are already seeing more violence against them
