I’m rereading #FourthWing and #IronFlame in anticipation of #OnyxStorm. They’re good! They hold up. I forgot how much of it is Xander and Violet trying to keep their hands off each other, though. I’ll be honest, I could with less of that. 📚💙

Just finished #WindAndTruth by @brandonsanderson.bsky.social

I really loved the unique plot structure. I wasn’t sure I was going to, but I did.

He cracked opened so much of the mystery behind his world, revealing what had only been hinted at up until this point, while keeping enough hidden

Thanksgiving: the perfect excuse to finally read that book on your shelf that you feel guilty for not reading yet.

Which can in turn be an excuse to not talk to your family!

It’s a win win!

Let’s talk about #Wicked (no spoilers).

I saw it last night. I remember seeing it on stage years ago, and loving it. I swear, every single moment that gave me chills during the stage production gave me chills again during the movie.

It’s literally a near perfect movie musical.

It has been a minute since I’ve ready it, and it’s a bit of an undertaking, but Under the Dome is supremely interesting.

I've never read a Stephen King novel. Which one is your favorite? Which one would you recommend to a person who doesn't like horror?

Lotta people mad about constant remakes. Look, here’s the thing, if it was up to me, we’d make some more original stories.

But it’s not up to me. I’m not a filmmaker or studio. So I’m gonna do my damndest to enjoy the movies that get made.

Cuz that’s what it’s for. Enjoyment.

#HowToTrainYourDragon director Dean Deblois was asked why he remade his film in live-action 🐲

"[It] was the studio's desire. And if they were going to do it, I wanted to make sure it was done right"

Let’s talk about Christopher Paolini.

Maybe you’re like me, maybe not. Eragon was my favorite book to read and reread and rereread. I still have it. The spine has long fallen off. The jacket missing for years. There’s a whole section that’s wavy and stiff from an oopsie-daisy while at the lake.

This piece is absolute dreck -- the prose so purple it's suffering from near-fatal strangulation -- AND it manages to elide whether McCarthy was having sex with a 16-year-old runaway from foster care. Demerits all around and also jesus christ www.vanityfair.com/style/story/...
Cormac McCarthy’s Secret Muse Breaks Her Silence After Half a Century: “I Loved Him. He Was My Safety.”
When he was 42, Cormac McCarthy fell in love with a 16-year-old girl he met by a motel pool. Augusta Britt would go on to become one of the most significant—and secret—inspirations in literary history...
