The contemporary art genre I hate - the bastard Toytown child of Neo-pop and Superflat - has finally got a name:

'Red-Chip' art.

I can hate it even more now.

Forget Blue-Chip Art. It's a 'Red-Chip' Art World Now | Artnet News
"Red-chip" art has developed a devoted following. Should the traditional art world lean in?

I bought a Tesla because it was fast like a rocket ship. But now every time I drive it, I feel like a rolling billboard for a man dismantling our government and hurting people. So Tesla, you’re fired!

New ride coming soon.

Just listened to Gaga's new album 'Mayhem', released today.

Reviewers are raving about it as a welcome return to her 2008-11 heyday, but I'm unconvinced, it all sounds very safe.

A modest proposal:

In the first phase of the ceasefire deal, Hamas is to hand over 33 hostages in return for 1,900 Palestinian prisoners. The currency seems to be 58 prisoners per hostage.

If Hamas is now handing over 4 corpses, surely it's only fair that Israel executes 232 prisoners?

'Seated female nude.' (1920/21) Mainie Jellett's teachers included William Orpen, Walter Sickert, André Lhote and Albert Gleizes. It was under the latter two, she became an ardent advocate of Cubism, despite criticism, she persevered and came to be seen as a leading Modernist painter.

'Nude With White Towel.' (1963) You could be forgiven for believing that Euan Uglow’s works are exact representations into the physiognomy and character of the sitter. Uglow stated: 'I’m painting an idea not an ideal… I won’t let chance be there unless it’s challenged.’
