Insurance companies are sin eaters for hospitals. They let hospitals maintain the image that they're righteous non profits and should also be allowed to charge whatever they like.

I didn't vote for Trump any of the times before but if he gets us Canada maybe he'll have my vote idk
Guys, I don’t want to alarm anybody, but Fox News is taking Trump literally and starting to go down the path of annexing Canada.
Watters: So many reasons to make this a state. I think it has the third largest oil reserves in the world… I don't know if Canada is going to go along with it, but there's ways to maybe change their opinion.

an issue I'm a sort of apolitical crank on is that the government should randomize the distribution of limited benefits more (within some pool of eligible people). it's at least as equitable as many of the alternatives, has lower administrative burdens, and makes determining effectiveness easier.
