Simply an icon. Gracious and warm in person, a bulldog when she fights for us and the planet, we're a better country because of Nancy Pelosi. From the bottom of my heart, Madam Speaker, thank you.

Trump and the Republicans have shut down the government because they want to continue raising costs for everything.

We seem to mostly scream and shout at each other about disagreements. Here's an exception - pretty much everyone wants dangerous chemicals out of our food. Now we just need Congressional Republicans to pay attention. https://bit.ly/46sdA80

Shared this on LinkedIn the other day, but think with a shutdown looming and horrible news, it’s good to share here too. Here’s what’s keeping me hopeful about the coming months https://bit.ly/42cERZq
Hope is what fuels us as people
I spent most of last week at an LCV all staff retreat, and early one morning before we began, I walked out on a little pier just before sunrise. One of the organizers on our team (a fellow early bird)...

CON JOB ALERT! Trump's "energy dominance" is ALL HAT and NO CATTLE. STRONG piece from @sammyroth.bsky.social
In today’s @latimes.com: My column on the “energy dominance” lie that Trump has been peddling for nearly a decade. Time for Democrats and solar/wind companies to stop pretending “energy dominance” is a real thing and come up with a new plan. www.latimes.com/environment/...

These were projects that dealt with sewage leaks and flooding and lowered cancer rates. They are not partisan projects; no one wants sewage in their homes. Stop this nonsense - don’t do things that hurt people. https://wapo.st/4gt1yhV

How ‘bout we focus on the real problem: Trump banning clean energy and insisting on expensive, dirty energy - instead of victim blaming us for running the AC in the summer.

When you CUT OFF WIND AND SOLAR (which MANY smart people say are the CHEAPEST, CLEANEST and MOST BEAUTIFUL energy sources) prices WILL GO UP. The ones raising energy prices are TRUMP, and the OIL and GAS COMPANIES who gave him $1BILLION.

Here's a potential perfect storm risk: uncertain increasing electric from data centers + Trump admin banning clean energy = higher prices and dirtier air for rate payers.

We need our legislators to invest in scalable, affordable clean energy solutions before it's too late.

Figuring out how much demand there will be in the next 15 years is tricky. Overbuilding could leave customers on the hook, experts say.
