So the fact that the City of Troy is getting a GIFT, FREE OF CHARGE, of a giant wooden horse, temporarily, in a very public transaction, so bothers the crooked Laocoön that he insists we REFUSE the horse. Anybody can do that! The Greeks are world-class losers!!! MTGA

An absolute must-read from @stevevladeck.bsky.social this morning:

“Just before 1:00 a.m., the justices (aggressively) stepped back into the Alien Enemy Act litigation—in a decision suggesting that a majority understands that these are no longer normal circumstances.”

Society is now taking auditions for the protest bands of the ‘20s. @dropkickmurphys.com has an early claim, but let’s see who can push some compelling music and claim the title…

We've seen videos like this before, but usually when you see a tearful wife pleading with the kidnappers who have taken her husband, she's not talking to the U.S. president
Abrego Garcia's wife: "I will not stop fighting until I see my husband alive. Kilmar, if you can hear me, stay strong. God hasn't forgotten about you. Our children are asking when you will come home ... they miss their dad so much."

Best negotiator in the world, who predicted he could end a war involving a former superpower (that had lost nearly a million soldiers) within one day, doesn’t think he can return a single mistakenly imprisoned father

Right. That makes sense.

Never thought I’d be in 100% agreements with Rand Paul, but here we are.
Rand Paul: "The whole [tariffs] debate is so fundamentally backwards & upside down. It's based on a fallacy & the fallacy is this: that somehow in a trade, someone must lose. That somehow when you trade with someone, someone is taking advantage of you... I have a trade deficit with my grocery store"

This is why it was so infuriating that Dems focused so much on the price of eggs. That was a temporary stricture driven by culling flocks to avoid bird flu outbreaks. And now that it’s stabilized, Trump is claiming it as a win - despite the fact he did nothing.

Stupid at the time. Stupider now.
JD Vance on Fox & Friends on his message to Americans who can't afford tariffs: "We are fighting very hard to bring prices down ... it's not going to happen immediately."

Fraud is a crime. Where are the DOJ criminal indictments pursuing criminal claims against fraud so ostensibly clear that it warranted axing entire departments without investigation?

Most of the Democratic Party leadership right now:

“You're like the French radical, watching the crowd run by and saying, ‘There go my people. I must find out where they're going so I can lead them.’”
