Good luck trying to out-despair writers and artists. I’m rereading In the Penal Colony.
The point of the AI project is to provoke despair in creative people. They haven’t produced profits or anything anyone wants, just a steady stream of articles about how us artistic types can’t do the thing we’re already doing, making art. Jokes on them, we’re even better at despair than they are.

Summer 2024 I went for a visit to the US. The number of people there who were like "you look great!!1" was fucking alarming. Grab heroin chic by the neck and strangle it to death. Being so thin your body is eating itself isn't fit or sexy, it's fucking traumatic.
Not fit. Lol. These pics were taken about a year after my NDE. I lost 20 pounds in 2 months in spring 2024; I was skin and bones. It took me many months just to be able to walk long distances again. It absolutely tanked my self confidence.

Of course but I feel like Christians skew right/conservative compared to non-religious populations so if there is a subgenre of metal dedicated to Christian faith based music then I imagine conservative metal heads do indeed exist. Though I don’t know much about metal music culture!

Whatever flutter of desire I had to create humans of my own blood died with my last relationship. However, “mother” is in me. Nurture and wisdom flow from a well within my soul. Sometimes I wonder what I’m meant to do with this matriarchal energy.

I’m not on Twitter but I feel like SWers on Bluesky have worked hard to cultivate a community that’s inclusive & mutually supportive from the start. Tbh the influx of folks from Twitter has made me a tiny bit nervous only because it *does* feel like things weren’t necessarily this way in that space

Bullying caused me a lot of pain when I was on Twitter.
I’m so grateful that the culture here isn’t to crap on one another/virtue signal for clout.
Marginalized communities should support not micromanage language and try to tear down those we disagree with.
