I’m reaching out because we are in a truly difficult spot. I work full-time to support my trans and disabled wife, but between my current FMLA situation and waiting on our tax refund to hit, we have completely run out of a safety net. ​We had a food pantry appointment today, and while we are grateful for what they gave, it simply wasn't enough to get us through. Most importantly, pantries rarely provide the essential hygiene and medical items we are currently without. ​What we urgently need: • ​Medication: Necessary prescriptions that cannot wait. • ​Groceries: Fresh food and staples to supplement the pantry haul. • ​Toiletries: We are completely out of toilet paper, soap, and shampoo. ​Our goal is $100 to bridge this gap and ensure we are safe, clean, and fed through the weekend. He is high needs meaning he needs help with everything through out the day. I'm disabled myself. I have long covid which mostly entails POTs, ME/CFS and uterine fibroids. When I was last working I ended up in the ER from overworking my body and decided it was best for me to stay home especially since my disabled child was already struggling so much with the caretaker he had at the time. I also have a trans child so we live in California where it's safest for her and my family in general as two of us are disabled. I'm working towards getting on disability at the moment as well as exploring options to be paid to be my son's caregiver as his behavior gets worse when I'm not the one caring for him. Nothing goes unappreciated and I truly try to thank anyone who helps to the best of my ability. I suffer chronic fatigue so my spoons are limited. Thank you if you read this
