I remember this. I was there looking after children, bags, etc while the women did their stuff. A great day!
"ON [12 Dec] 1982: 30,000 women form a human chain around RAF Greenham Common in opposition to the deployment of US nuclear cruise missiles. The historic 'Embrace the Base' protest was one of many non-violent actions at Greenham and other military sites across Britain during the 1980s"

And another one
"Another day, another Reform UK “hard worker”.
A Reform councillor has been accused of being “completely absent” after sending just two emails and showing up to one council meeting since May.
Northumberland’s Shaun Knowles has pocketed £9,340 of taxpayers’ money."

Couldn't resist sharing this!
I remember when we had nutters similar to him screaming at us and calling us commies, Soviet dupes and the like. And, of course, CND was funded with Moscow gold wasn't it? 😂

A classic Devon weekend: Friday talk in ancient stannary town Tavistock to the Devonshire Association; following by an outstanding Saturday gig by Chagford's own Dominie Hooper at the brillant community pub The Drewe Arms. Very special songwriting and absolutely electrifying live.

Spotify is running ICE ads. I went to cancel on mobile and saw that this isn’t allowed on mobile. They make you cancel on desktop. You think that’s gonna stop me, Spotify? I will erase you and forget you ever existed.

Conservative MP Mel Stride claims PIP benefit is thousands of pounds per month.

No it is an absolute maximum of £720 a month, and most people only get £250 or less.

Meanwhile he claims £1,250 a month in rent on his expenses

Nigel Farage wants attention for *saying* he’d scrap the 2-child benefit cap. But in the vote against it, did he show up?

No. Zero Reform MPs voted against the cap in July.

Green MPs put it in our costed manifesto, signed the motion, and voted to scrap it. Actions not words.
