It’s going to turn out the MAHA gang killed or badly maimed Trump either by:
1) convincing him not to take a well-proven medicine (statin, blood thinner, beta-blocker)
2) causing an interaction between a supplement and one of the meds
3) directly poisoning him with an unproven supplement

You gotta realize, most Texas voters don’t know who John Cornyn (4-term US senator) is

This may reflect hospice enrollment practices (forestalling enrollment for the young). Above all we felt compelled to share these data for other researchers to compare later

Median survival was 17 days but varied a lot based on the reason for enrollment. Women, the elderly (>83) survived longer after enrollment

We assessed the data obtained for our studies on antibiotics in hospice to determine differences in survival duration

My 10th peer-reviewed article was published online! Ironically this was also my first non-ID related article

30 min later we start again. Really good @elizabeth-warren.bsky.social, good pitch for @ltgovflanagan.mn.gov based on her track record and experiences

They finally had someone with media training talk, started a “Peggy! Peggy! Peggy!” Chant at the end. Then killed their momentum by taking a break?

At the @ltgovflanagan.mn.gov rally, hoping to see @warren.senate.gov. First rally. Lot of people talking about their problems

Me spotting RFK in the gym:
“Zero.
Zero.
Zero. come on, full range of motion bud.
zero.
Still Zero.
Zero - should I go grab my extra sweat pants for you?”

That takes me back. Been like 12 years since basic immunology

Tl;dr: 250,000 more Minnesotans at risk of devastating medical bills, higher energy prices, rural hospital closures, and longer ambulance wait times.

None of this is worth a tax cut for billionaires. Congress needs to reject this bill.

Last day, seeing patient until 5, notes until 6. It was great to cap out my fellowship at Mayo with old and new friends! #IDSky

The #OBBB is so infuriating. $4.5 TRILLION added to deficit for the the “public good” of “rich people have more money”

Chaos at the CDC’s vaccine meeting.

One member resigned.

Some scientific materials weren’t vetted.

The American Academy of Pediatrics is boycotting.

So yeah, it’s going great!

Here's a bunch of information and analysis, including some breaking news 🧵 1/

The news about Rep Hortman made me physically ill. I can’t stop feeling anger about how this could happen, but for now I just want to say she was a very down-to-earth, personable person. The couple times I got to talk with her, she seemed motivated to find consensus and serve the state of MN

JD Vance, excited: is that the one where the out of work factory workers have to put on a strip show???
Usha Vance: what?
JD, disappointed: never mind…

4) no one “deserves” the training we get at the time. Proof of if you should be there isn’t what you HAVE done, but what you WILL do

3) current immigration policies are failing our institutions and patients

2) we carry our mentors and loved ones with us wherever we go after graduation

1) care for the person in front of you. Listen to them and find out answers if you don’t know

They let me give a little speech at my ID fellowship graduation. In addition to gratitude, my messages were

We thank the reviewers for their suggestions. Unfortunately, we do not believe we would be able to fit the 3 different additional studies they asked us to perform into our 700 word letter. Best

Not done yet, but it feels so unreal. I know I will leave, but I can believe I’ll finally be DONE with supervised practice so soon

Today was my last day of inpatient service at the Great Mayo Clinic. I still have a weekend call, and handful of clinic days, and some blessed research time to finish manuscripts. But time is waning and I’m feeling SO nostalgic for the long nights in med school, residency, and as a junior fellow

Good morning. Please take the word “briefly” out of your note. I can already see the history is short or it isn’t and you’re lying to me

Important area of study. Need more information to make sure we aren’t under-dosing or over-correcting and are over-dosing
