i like that codex is a standalone agentic app and not just a vscode fork.
but yeah, this chat-based interface isn't something very unique. either their $1m frontend devs are sleeping or the company is in a really bad financial situation.

I genuinely don't know how npm cli and website aren't considered abandonware at this point. Trusted Publishing is broken, features behaving inconsistently across them, token management is non-existent, obscure error messages...

banning social media for teens fixes none of the real causes of addiction. it's a lazy scapegoat. instead of addressing why teens use it, we yell "social media / porn bad." conservatives feel safe, big tech gets paid, teens just use a vpn.
