Here's our northern light view tonight. Remarkable! The northern sky was bright red, no camera needed.

NOTE: When we were working on our I am Jane Goodall kids book, she weighed in personally on the drawings to make sure that even in the pages of a cartoon biography, we were modeling good behavior so millions of kids would see how to properly take care of animals.

Weird but odd situation today: I was going into the chem building and outside, in the corner by the door, there's a small Dollar General bag. I wonder, who left this? So I look inside and there is just a new iPhone cord. 1/n

Hey ChemSky - has anyone been thinking about how to comply with regulations in April that all materials must be accessible? We're thinking about what that means for, inter alia, handouts with chemical structures. We're just at the beginning to think about it phase but we fear it will be daunting!

I think it was Paoli
We used to drive to Fairibault for vacation and went through the towns in the SE, like Austin and Owatonna. There was one we went through population 55 or something... I should remember that...

Ok ChemSky, here's a dumb question: how is Avegadro's number determined? My son asked me that the other day and I just sat with my mouth open. Duuuuuuhhhhhhhh.....

Somehow you gotta count atoms.

So how do we know there that 12 grams of carbon 12 has 6.02e23 atoms?

I keep seeing reports about places adopting "anti-DEI" policies. So homogenous, non-equal and exclusive? This is just bad. It's one thing to say, "We aren't going to require diversity," but to impose "anti-diversity" means to require homogeneity. And anti-equity? This isn't about fairness

I had that in July before my sophomore year of high school. Odd that I can remember it, but I had it when I had my football physical. Dr didn't say a word about it.
My daughter seems to have pityriasis rosea and I’d genuinely like to know who came up with the “inexplicable pink scaly rash, but in Latin” nomenclature
