Kellogg's Stars/Sugar Stars
1963-1966

This goofy mountain goat instilled terror through the West with his insatiable appetite for Stars, eating everything in sight until he was offered his cereal. Voiced by Howard Morris and animated by Hanna-Barbera during their deal with Kellogg's.

2006-2012

This cute, Aardman-designed robot - initially voiced by Matt Lucas - led the campaign to guide TV owners across Britain through the switchover from analogue to digital services. By the end of 2012, Al's work was done, and the Digital UK brand continued without him.
Digit Al, a robot made up primarily of white spheres connected to black tubes. His head has a dial on the top representing quiff hair, subwoofer ears, eyes with white sclera and black pupils (changed from turquoise to appear less soulless), a light blue mouth and a grey neck, while his torso is marked with the Digital UK pink tick and black checkbox. His final design, his head now slightly enlarged, his smile rounded and whitened and his dial facing forward Digit Al, with his initial blue eyes and mouth, hijacking the interior of an analogue television tube Digit Al as a costume on a tube train covered in pink Digital UK advertising
